Canadian Solar (NASDAQ:CSIQ) was the best performing Chinese solar stock in 2012 and it is showing similar performance in 2013 as well. The company is a major manufacturer of crystalline silicon solar panels and has most of its manufacturing facilities located in China. The company saw a sharp fall in its stock price post the 2008 IPO boom, as panel ASPs crashed due to huge over-investment in China.
