Black Hills Utilizing Its Full Potential

Black Hills' (BKH) subsidiary companies provide services to nearly 830,000 customers. These companies are in electric supply and gas supply. These subsidiaries are expected to provide 70% contribution to the company's EBITDA, along with 90% contribution to its earnings this year.

● Its subsidiary Colorado Electric filed an integrated resource plan in May this year. It is expected to put forward a proposal to replace its coal-fired plant in Colorado with a same sized natural gas plant. This plant was shut down last year due to changes in policies of the Clean Air Clean Jobs Act. The plan aims to replace the older, inefficient oil-fired turbines with new ones.
