Publicis Group has announced the acquisition of Razorfish from Microsoft (MSFT), beating Dentsu and WPP (WPPGY). The short base (as measured by Percent Shares Outstanding On Loan) for Publicis Group Sa (PUB) decreased 3% over the past week and now stands at 10%This is down 51% from the 52 week high hit on July 3, 2009. The share price jumped 4% Monday.
When compared to other Europe Media companies, the short base is well above the average for the sector. The short base for related companies in the sector: Dentsu 3%, Wpp Plc 2%, Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC) 3% and Valueclick Inc. (VCLK) 3%.
