Ruckus Wireless Indoor Location Acquisition Goes Head To Head With Cisco And Aruba

Ruckus Wireless (NYSE:RKUS) announced Tuesday that it was acquiring YFind, creators of technology for indoor location positioning and real-time location analytics.

Indoor location technologies have received a lot of attention in the mobile world recently, with Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) acquisition of WiFiSLAM, Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) increasing support for indoor locations in Google Maps, and Microsoft's (NASDAQ:MSFT) expansion of indoor maps in Bing. There are still over 50 start-up companies in the area, and more are launching each month.
