Aviat Networks Is An Undervalued Emerging Markets Growth Play

Aviat Networks (NASDAQ:AVNW) is a low-risk way to gain exposure to increased global spending on wireless networking. The low valuation and strong balance sheet limit downside risk while the continuing trend towards higher data usage and significant tax assets provide upside potential.

Company overview

AVNW sells wireless networking products, solutions and services to mobile and fixed telephone service providers, private network operators, government agencies, transportation and utility companies, public safety agencies and broadcast system operators. AVNW products are used in 300 mobile networks around the world.

AVNW incorporated in 2006 to combine the businesses of Harris Corporation's Microwave Communications Division and Stratex Networks. In January 2010, AVNW changed its name from Harris Stratex Networks to Aviat Networks.
