For the quarter, BCSI posted revenue of $116 million and non-GAAP EPS of 23 cents; the Street had been expecting $115.8 million and 22 cents. Revenues weer up 2% sequentially and 13% year over year.
For the second quarter, the application delivery networking company sees revenue of $116 million to $121 million, and non-GAAP profits of 23-28 cents a share. The Street had been expecting $120 million and 24 cents.
Also, Blue Coast announced that Gordon Brooks has been named SVP and chief financial officer, Brooks had been VP-corporate finance at VMware (NYSE:VMW). Before that he was CFO at SpikeSource, and corporate controller at BEA Systems.
Brooks fills a slot vacated in March by Kevin Royal, who became CFO at Maxwell Technologies.
BCSI closed down 3 cents, or .2%, to $17.26.
