TransAtlantic Petroleum (TAT) is a small, independent energy producer engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas. Presently, TransAtlantic Petroleum holds interests in developed and undeveloped properties in Turkey and Bulgaria, with the overwhelming majority of its activity centered in Turkey.
TransAtlantic Petroleum is interesting because it's one of the companies seeking to extend to foreign lands the shale revolution brought about by horizontal drilling and fracking.
