BCRX ChartPartners in Four Countries

BioCryst (BCRX) Pharmaceuticals has signed letters of intent with three partners that will exclusively represent the company in selling its peramivir influenza treatment in four countries. The news has sent shares of BCRX running up from Monday's close of $10.73 to trade $12.38 Tuesday morning in pre-market trading on our Heat Seeker tracking system.

Kroger Miss Hurts Shares

The grocery chain reported that same-store supermarket sales increased 2.6 percent excluding fuel in its fiscal second quarter that ended Aug. 15, compared with the same period last year. The bottom line is that KR missed consensus estimates by $0.05, which is why shares are being battered in the pre-market. The shares are trading at $20.40, down from yesterday's close of $22.11 and following bullish options activity.

Cracker Barrel Guides Higher

The restaurant and gift-shop operator posted a larger-than-expected 8.5 percent increase in profit on lower costs for its fiscal fourth quarter, more than offsetting continued sales weakness. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store also issued an upbeat revenue forecast for the new fiscal year. CBRL closed at $32.09 Monday but is trading at $32.80 in the pre Tuesday.
