HomeStreet Inc.: A Small-Cap Bank With Big Potential

HomeStreet Inc. (NASDAQ:HMST) is a small bank in the Pacific Northwest. It has been operating since the early 1900s but has only been public for one year. In 2012, it was one of the biggest-gainers in the S&P 500, gaining over 150% since its IPO. HomeStreet is a small bank with plans to be a regional name. With a market cap of only $300 million, HomeStreet has a ways to go. I believe this bank has the potential to return multiple times an investment today for a few reasons:
