Veritas DGC (VTS), Core Labs (NYSE:CLB), FMC (NYSE:FTI), Generale Geophysique (GGY): The merger between VTS and GGY is helping oil-survey technology plays, such as CLB and FTI, Cramer comments, and adds that, given the profitability of oil drilling, he would haved been bullish on these stocks even without the merger.
Viacom (NYSE:VIA) and CBS (NYSE:CBS): Cramer suggests staying away from Viacom, since founder Summer Redstone has parted ways with CEO Tom Freston, and would choose CBS instead, which constantly confounds low expectations. "I don't know any kid who watches MTV," says Cramer, who says that Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPod and Newscorp's (NASDAQ:NWS) My Space more popular among teenagers.
Sear's (NASDAQ:SHLD):Cramer praised CEO Eddie Lampert's decision to buy back 2.3 million shares and scoffs at skeptics who criticize the company's same-store sales. "If he keeps buying at this pace, he's buying in half the company," Cramer said, "Who cares if they sold a lot of lawnmowers?"
