Investing in utilities is boring, a quality you know that I am attracted to if you have read my past articles. Utilities are basic, essential and considered to be very "safe" investments that offer protection during times of economic crisis in addition to a healthy, increasing stream of dividends. Within the universe of utilities, I have been especially fascinated by regional water utilities, a category to which the York Water Company (YORW) belongs. Operating in Pennsylvania, York Water Company serves both York and Adams county and has been in business for almost two hundred years.
