Bakken Update: Tight Bakken Differentials, Non-Hedged Production Made Earthstone's Q2

Earthstone's (NASDAQ:ESTE) Q2 was the best beat nobody heard about. I have been covering this name since early in 2011. Its an interesting company with non-operated acreage centered in Banks Field. Earthstone will benefit from better oil prices as differentials have tightened. It has also started an operated program in Nebraska that is now underway. With a market cap of just over $27 million, few follow the stock. I generally don't make investments in companies this small, as the risks associated are too high.
