If you use investment screens (I'm not a huge fan of them except for very preliminary analysis), you can sometimes miss out on the actual valuation of a company. So is the case with Bob Evans Farms (NASDAQ:BOBE). An investment screen would tell you the company is trading at 9x EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization), which falls right in line with the company's competition and slightly higher than what I think a restaurant like BOBE would be worth.
