A few weeks ago I wrote, Bullish On American Apparel: Beyond Controversy, An Inflection Point And Growth. Since then a few things have happened: [i] release of 2Q results, including a downward revision to guidance, [ii] release of July same store sales, [iii] decline in the stock price and [iv] weak 2Q earnings from a number of retailers. In this article I will address these issues and give my update perspective on the bullish case for American Apparel (APP).
