UBS recently warned that PNC Financial faces significant credit headwinds in the near term, and the firm initiated the bank with a Sell rating. The bank's 2010 and 2011 earnings will probably disappoint investors, the firm warned. Last month Oppenheimer initiated PNC with a Perform rating. The firm thinks that the bank's stock should be valued in line with its peers until it builds up its capital levels. On a positive note, the firm thinks that PNC's diversified revenue stream is attractive, while it believes that the acquisition of National City will help the bank build up its franchise over time.
