Cramer's Lightning Round - Scott's Miracle Will Grow (10/26/09)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the lightning round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Monday October 26.

Bullish Calls:

Scotts Miracle Gro (NYSE:SMG): "It has come back down. Remember, we had thought that they would get rid of the very expensive Smith & Hawkins retail operation… they did. We had management on at $34.35, everyone else had given up. We said, 'pull the trigger…' and you know what? We are not backing away. This is still a good level. SMG is a well run company with a great franchise."

Tellabs (NASDAQ:TLAB): "This is a stock that has come back down to levels that we are going to get very, very aggressive on. They have a really fantastic balance sheet. That, my friends, is the single biggest buy that I have heard on today’s show. I cannot believe you can get this for under $6."

Bearish Calls:

Vivus (NASDAQ:VVUS): "This is what I think about companies that get a lot of press...I think that they are played out. It is time to ring the register on Vivus; everybody had the buzz on it, and now the buzz has passed."

Huntington Bancshares (NASDAQ:HBAN): "It is a speculative stock. I know that the whole regional group has been crushed by this Synovus deal which did not work. I will reiterate that these stocks move up over time… I think that HBAN is a terrific stock. I think that it will be favored by the FDIC regulators because it has done two raises of capital.
