Pitney Bowes (PBI) is expected to report Q3 earnings after market close on Tuesday, November 2 with a conference call scheduled for 5:00 am ET.
Guidance
Analysts are looking for a profit of 54c on revenue of $1.41B. There is a tight consensus range for EPS of 53c-55c, and revenue of $1.39B-$1.45B, according to First Call. When the company announced its Q2 results, it gave FY09 EPS guidance of $2.15-$2.35 vs. a consensus of $2.24. The EPS guidance range includes the expected negative impact of 23c-28c per diluted share from currency and incremental pension expense.
Analyst Views
In late October, Pitney Bowes was downgraded to Sell from Neutral at Goldman, who cited relative valuation and margins for the downgrade. The firm also lowered it price target to $24 from $25. Despite the downgrade, the company's shares have climbed over 5% since it last reported earnings.
