If you are like me, you may not be in the position to buy a house today for a variety of reasons. That is unfortunate because the real estate market is set up to be one of those outperforming sectors over the next several years. Interest rates are low relative to historical measures and home prices are still affordable relative to local rental rates.
So that brings us to the investment thesis: in an environment where cheap and fixed rate interest debt is becoming easier for consumers/investors to obtain and where inflation and rental rates are likely to rise, the natural asset class to own is real estate.
