Bullish calls:
Dentsply International (XRAY): '... it does not need the economy to do well. And, by the way, I do care that that stock is only a dollar off its high. It's growing at 13%, and it sells at 22x earnings. Two thumbs up, way up!'
Sunrise Senior Living (SRZ)
Wells Fargo (WFC): 'When people worry about housing, I say, 'If housing is so bad, why is one of the largest mortgage companies in the world hitting its 52-week high?'... WFC is my favorite bank stock. Booyah!'
Jefferies (JEF): 'JEF is an unknown stock to people. They don't understand the greatness of Handler [CEO], who runs JEF. This company is the sleeping brokerage stock.'
Lehman Brothers (LEH): 'Where's LEH headed?... How about to the moon!'
Goldman Sachs (GS): 'These [financial] stocks are so right here that I can barely contain myself.'
Merrill Lynch (MER)
Electronic Arts (ERTS): 'at $55, that stock is going to $75, because you and I both know that nothing beats NFL Street, except for NBA Street!'
Centex (CTX): 'while not my favorite homebuilder - is part of the group of stocks that people have given up on. I will tell you that KB Home (KBH) reports on Friday.... the expectations are so low on the homebuilders that you can own them and not be worried ... I would stick with CTX.'
Bearish calls:
FreightCar America (RAIL): 'It was up two smackers today. You know what I say? Ring the register. Sorry. You can't love everything, and this is a market that does not like the cyclicals.'
Trinity Industries (TRN)
Triad Hospitals (TRI)
