Australian Hedge Funds Fall in October

For the first time in seven months, Australian hedge funds posted a monthly loss in October.
The Australian Fund Monitors Index dipped 0.3% last month, according to early reports from its constituent funds. The decline leaves Down Under hedge funds up 17.6% on the year.
Equity-market neutral funds did best in October, rising 3.4%. Commodity futures funds did the worst, shedding 2.1%.
