American Apparel's (APP) streak of 27 months of positive same store sales ended in September with a 6% decline. The disappointing performance was attributed to the transition to a new distribution center as well as a tough retail environment. I have been bullish on American Apparel and the September results are unfortunate. However, investors need to decide whether the September results are a speedbump or indicative or a larger problem. Currently, I view them as a speedbump. On a positive note, the company announced plans to open four new stores, including a New York flagship.
