Cramer's Lightning Round - Hudson City's Fine Hermance (11/19/09)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the lightning round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Thursday November 19.

Bullish Calls:

Hudson City Bancorp (NASDAQ:HCBK): "It is a well run bank. Mr. Hermance [CEO] does a good job… right now people do not want to romance Hermance… Why? Because it is too consistent a bank; they want to have something that is more exciting. Do you know what I like? This one yield 4.5% yield, they are paying you to wait until things turn around. I remain bullish on Hudson City Banc, I am not backing away. Let the losers back away."

TriQuint Semiconductor (TQNT): "You are fine, everyone panicked on TriQuint… thought the quarter was really bad. The stock is cheap. There was a glitch in the product cycle going from 3G to 4G... everybody is down on these stocks except for me. Think long-term."

Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO): "I have been following [CEO] John Chambers since 1995... and I have got to tell you that this is the most bullish that I have ever heard him… he really basically told you that this company is back and bigger than ever… it will finish this Tandberg acquisition and be fine… I think that Cisco should be bought."

Citigroup (NYSE:C): "I think that the government, which owns 34% of Citi, is readying to sell its stock… and that is the lid on the company… the company is doing everything right. I like Citi but under $4."

Bearish Calls:

Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU): "People think this is Google, this is from Communist China for heaven's sake… the stock is so high, that I want to sell, sell, sell… no way do I want to own Baidu."

Temple Inland (NYSE:TIN), Packaging Corp. of America (NYSE:PKG): "Oh, we already made decent money in this… I am going to say sell, sell, sell.. I am going to give you this one, and I also want to sell Packaging Corp. of America although it is an accidental high yielder."

Suntech Power (NYSE:STP): "I do not want you to own that stock… I think that you should use the sell, sell, sell moment that I am giving you right now to get out of jail free and that stock right now."
