At the UN Climate Control Conference in Copenhagen December 7-18, the developed nations (Europe, United States, Japan, etc.) will try to buy the cooperation of the developing nations (China, India, Africa, etc.) by pledging to give them money each year.
The amount is still being negotiated according to BusinessGreen.com:
Developing nations ... are insisting on a minimum of £242bn [$400 billion] per annum by 2020 to help them fight global warming, compared with the developed world’s offer of only £100bn [$167 billion] per year.
If these numbers are correct, I am guessing that President Obama will pledge somewhere between $50 billion and $200 billion per year in order to fund this new entitlement. Where will Obama get the money? Borrow it from China, of course!
