by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round segment of Jim Cramer's Mad Money Program, Tuesday October 29.

Bullish Calls:

Magnum Hunter (MHR): "I think it had a pretty good quarter. They have fixed the accounting problems."

Southern Company (NYSE:SO): "That is terrific. It has a consistent yield, is a well-run company, and that is good. The stock has come back."

Bearish Calls:

Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO): "They should do a gigantic buyback. Don't back up the truck on it."

Federal-Mogul (NASDAQ:FDML): "That is too complicated. If you want to be in that, after that spike, I would say 'no'."

Applied Materials (NASDAQ:AMAT): "I do not think the AMAT deal will go through. I think that will be blocked, so our charitable trust rang the register."
