NEC prepares for 3G in China

NEC Corporation is assembling 3G cellular network equipment in
China in preparation for the issuance of 3G licenses.
Though the Chinese government has yet to discuss a timetable, analysts expect licenses to be issued this year. This follows a similar announcement from Nortel (ticker: NT).
