Cramer's Stop Trading! 3 Winning Stocks No One Believes in (1/8/10)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on Jim Cramer's Stop Trading! TV Segment, Friday January 8.

Jarden (NYSE:JAH), Target (NYSE:TGT), Sears Holdings (NASDAQ:SHLD), VF Corp (NYSE:VFC), Joy Global (JOYG), Wellpoint (WLP), Bucyrus International (NASDAQ:BUCY), Dana Holdings (NYSE:DAN), Nucor (NYSE:NUE)

Cramer called Joy Global (JOYG), Wellpoint (WLP) and Bucyrus (BUCY) three "winning stocks no one believes in." He thinks the three are all inexpensive and are going higher. He also likes Dana Holdings (DAN), a "really fabulous" auto parts business. Goldman Sachs gave Dana Holdings a good rating in a report which is a "must-read by everybody who wants to know what is going to be hot in 2010."

Cramer discussed the appliance rally, particularly Jarden (JAH) products, such as Mr. Coffee, Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville Margarita Machine and toasters which are selling well at Target (TGT); "Jarden is a growth story," Cramer said. "People don't know this story. They should. Their business is smoking. They can pre-announce better-than-expected." Investors shorting Jarden think that the company is impulsively making acquisitions, but Cramer thinks Jarden is taking a breather from more deals and is going to go higher. Meanwhile, Whirlpool (NYSE:WHR) is seeing strong sales of its products in Sears (SHLD) stores.

Cramer is surprised that VF Corp's (VFC) stock still hasn't risen in spite of the cold weather and strong sales for its North Face brand. He thinks VFC is “the easier play than buying a retailer”.

The best play in steel is Nucor (NUE), according to Cramer who thinks the entire sector is cheap.
