Bullish calls:
Sealy Corp. (ZZ)
Home Depot (HD): 'The home despot is starting to get its mojo back... I am saying that HD, starting to move up.'
Lowe's (LOW): 'I am the only guy recommending this stock in the whole universe, and that makes me feel even better... LOW is two thumbs up.'
Sears Holdings (SHLD): '... my friend, Richie Perry on the board, just bought another 30,000 shares, all the way up here. How much verification is that? That's the unbelievable story that SHLD ... is going still higher! Buy, buy, buy!'
First Data (FDC): 'That's the one I'm sticking with.'
LAM Research (LRCX): '... just reported a monster quarter. I predict massive upgrades tomorrow. That one is strictly 'buy, buy, buy!'
Yahoo! (YHOO): 'I think it's a buy. I have to tell you - point blank - I am very worried about the earnings, because every time that Sue Decker... [CFO] opens her mouth, they cut numbers. I have absolutely no feeling for the earnings whatsoever ... I think it's 3 down, and 10 up. I'm blessing YHOO*!'
Genentech (DNA): 'I think Avastin is a wonder drug ... I said to put half on before the quarter, and buy half after. And I am reiterating that that is right.'
Digital River (DRIV): ' ... an e-commerce transaction company to end all e-commerce companies.'
Boeing (BA): ' a cheap stock. It's got a competitor that's hobbled. The next thing you're going to hear is that they've got way too many orders. That there's just absolute price increases coming. I am reiterating that BA - at $81 - is right.'
Terex Corp. (TEX): 'TEX has a ... diversified portfolio.'
Bearish calls:
Systemax (SYX): 'has three problems: It's behind in its filings; it's got corporate governance issues; and there's a lack of transparency... My recommendation, strictly, after it did have those problems, 'don't buy, don't buy...'
Diamond Offshore (DO): '... here's a thing called the Oil Service Holder's Trust. It's at $122 - it's down $2.50 today. I think it goes down another 7 points, where I think it will bottom and, not until then, will I bless DO. Sell, sell, sell!'
JLG Industries (JLG)
Renovis (RNVS): ' it's a biotech company... I have recommended too many of these companies that have been losing money.'
Alliance Data Systems (ADS): 'I didn't put sell, because it's already down $2 smackers today, and I don't think that's fair. I think there's some sort of overhang that they're saying is now over. I don't want to bless buying or selling ADS.'
Synchronoss Technologies (SNCR)
Zoltek Companies (ZOLT): 'Alternative energy is in an absolute tailspin; and I don't want to touch it.'
Matsushita Electric Industrial (MC): 'All right, I don't like Japan.'
