Stocks discussed on lightning round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Friday January 22.

Bullish Calls

Thermo Fisher Scientific (NYSE:TMO): "I think it is a well-run company...the end markets are biotech and biotech is pretty flush right now... the markets were open for them to raise a lot of money, so if those are their clients I say buy buy buy."

First Niagara Financial Group (NASDAQ:FNFG), New Alliance Bancshares (NYSE:NAL), Huntington Bancshares (NASDAQ:HBAN): "We've got First Niagara...we've got New Alliance reporting next week....HBAN is a spec that is roaring."

UPS (NYSE:UPS): "I prefer UPS... it has a good yield. We know that the business is strong right now. It has run much less and is much cheaper than FedEx."

McDonald's (NYSE:MCD): "You own this stock because it is a secular story. It will open a lot of stores overseas and management is great, and when the stock pulls back that is when we buy buy buy."

Bearish Calls:

Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS): "Goldman is a great company...I am not selling it, but my only forecast for Goldman Sachs is what Mr. T threatened to give Rocky: Pain!"

Suntech Power Holdings (NYSE:STP): "No, no, man come on...sell sell sell...all these solar plays are way too speculative for this market."

Fulton Financial (NASDAQ:FULT): "no no look...lets not go down with that one..I like too many others."

Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S): "It's not my favorite. You know I'm worried about Sprint ...I'm worried about the balance sheet. It is caught in the crossfiire in the war between Verizon and AT&T. I say stay away from Sprint."

Fed Ex (NYSE:FDX) "As much as I like FDX...I prefer UPS...it has run much less and is much cheaper than FDX."

Linn Energy (NASDAQ:LINE): "We recommended that stock 12 stock points ago...don't buy. It has had such a huge run...up 90% year over year."
