Wait 'Till Wednesday: Goldman Sachs (GS), Sears (SHLD) and NYSE Group (NYX) - Although Cramer thinks it is a good thing that cyclicals are up, they are also driving up other groups such as copper and zinc and this sudden growth may raise fears of inflation. He tells listeners to wait until Wednesday on certain stocks when the market might cool a bit. Cramer likes GS and SHLD but suggests waiting on other picks until the Consumer Price Index comes out on Wednesday. He would buy NYSE which he says is a 72.58 stock going to $100 because it will benefit from acquiring other exchanges.
Icos (ICOS), CBOT (BOT), Arena Pharmaceuticals (ARNA), Morgan Stanley (MS), Bear Stearns (BSC) Lehman Brothers (LEH), Goldman Sachs (GS), Level 3 Communications (LVLT), Broadwing (BWNG) - As ICOS and BOT are taken over, they are making investors alot of money and Cramer suggests looking out for the next attractive acquisition. Arena is making progress with treatments for diabetes and obesity and should get a bid by Wednesday. "With a company like this people have a lot of ways to win," he said. Cramer suggests picking up financials such as MS, BSC, LEH and GS with an opportunity to make money every time a company makes a bid. He notes that GS which is down is a "gift." Cramer likes LVLT which is buying BWNG and suggests getting into tech stocks when they are low. He reminds investors to pick companies which are buying back stock and have good dividend yields.
Bullish calls:
BE Aerospace (BEAV): This is the "cabin interior king" says Cramer and is a "gift" at $23.
Neutral/Bearish calls:
Diamond Offshore (DO): Although Cramer says DO is a "miraculous company" he can't recommend it. "To me at $67, this stock could go to $60 before I pull the trigger," he said.
