I have written about CEVA Inc. (NASDAQ:CEVA), a leading developer of digital signal processor ("DSP") IP, previously as a very attractive risk/reward play on the growth in non-Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) cellular baseband shipments (you can find my initial "Alpha-Rich" thesis here). The thesis is simply that as 4G LTE-A baseband shipments from Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) and Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) finally begin to ramp, CEVA - which saw its baseband IP shipments plummet as Qualcomm took major share in 4G - will see a meaningful uptick in revenues (as LTE chips will likely sport meaningful ASP uplift over today's 3G chips).
