Is II-VI Becoming A Stealth Optical Networker?

The name of the company II-VI Inc. (NASDAQ:IIVI) is pronounced "Two-Six", as in Roman numerals. They are generally thought of as a high-tech company that makes industrial fabrication lasers, defense optics, and a wide assortment of other laser related materials. They began in 1971 by being the only maker of high quality cadmium telluride. This exotic material was used to make CO2 lasers back then, which was the exotic way to cut and shape metal. They have since become a high tech supplier to the US military with about 20% of sales in their Military and Materials segment.
