Global Payments: Security Cost Concerns Are Overdone, Company's Franchise Looks Durable Especially Given International Expansion

Investors in Visa (NYSE:V) and Mastercard (NYSE:MA) are taking advantage of the rising international trend towards plastic and away from cash. Both of those stocks are well-known though, and have had tremendous runs over the last few years. One other way to take advantage of this same trend is through investments in payment processors that enable merchants in the US and around the world to accept credit and debit cards from customers. While there are several firms in this industry, Global Payments Inc (NYSE:GPN) is an interesting option for investors.
