Business Overview:

Agilent Technologies is a measurement company providing core bio-analytical and electronic measurement solutions to the life sciences, chemical analysis, diagnostics and genomics, communications and electronics industries. Agilent primarily sells its products through direct sales, but also utilizes distributors, resellers, manufacturers' representatives, telesales and electronic commerce. Agilent was incorporated in Delaware in 1999, after being spun off from Hewlett-Packard.


The firm is defined by three main segments:

  1. Life Science Group (LSG) - This group is focused on providing solutions to the pharmaceutical, biotech, academic and government, bio-agriculture and food safety industries. This group provides materials such as reagents, support services to academia; and provides instruments to Pharma and life science in the areas
