As an avid basketball player, footwear has been an important tool in my arsenal for several years; thus, I feel confident about my ability to evaluate the North American footwear market.
Before we get into Finish Line (FINL) and its competitors, we must first take a bird's eye view of the athletic footwear market. Consumers make purchases for several reasons: performance improvement, replacement, fashion, and collecting.
