RealNetworks (NASDAQ:RNWK) reported third quarter revenue of $93.7 million, beating Street expectations of $92.71 million. Profits totaled 24 cents a share, or 5 cents on a non-GAAP basis. The company said games revenue rose 55% on a year-over-year basis, while music rose 16%.
For the fourth quarter, the company sees revenue of $117 million to $123 million, including $22 million to $24 million from its recently acquired WiderThan subsidary; back that out, and you get $93 million to $105 million; the Street has been at $99.5 million. The company sees profits for the fourth quarter of 18 to 21 cents a share, or zero to 3 cents on a non-GAAP basis.
