Cramer's Lightning Round: Boston Scientific Is Back Among The Majors (3/11/14)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round segment of Jim Cramer's Mad Money Program, Tuesday March 11.

Bullish Calls:

Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX), St. Jude Medical (NYSE:STJ), Edwards Life Sciences (NYSE:EW): "BSX is one of my favorite stocks. It was up big last year, so it is digesting its move ... BSX has the right products and is back among the majors. I like this area very much. I also like Edwards Life Sciences and St. Jude Medical."

SunPower (NASDAQ:SPWR), First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR): "SPWR is profitable. It is not so speculative. It is a good company. I prefer First Solar, which is inexpensive."

NovaGold (NYSEMKT:NG): "I've been watching it come back, and it has been breathtaking. This is speculative, but there are very smart people involved. I'm glad to see it come back. Don't overstay your welcome. Sell some tomorrow, but let the rest run."

Occidental Petroleum (NYSE:OXY): "It is a holding for my charitable trust. It is a terrific situation and tends to go up over time. It is breaking up. I want you to own it."

Halozyme (NASDAQ:HALO): "It has a good pedigree. There is a bit too much froth in the segment. Let it come in before buying."

Sonic (NASDAQ:SONC): "I think it is a terrific situation. It can go higher. It is not expensive."

Bearish Calls:

Bed Bath & Beyond (NASDAQ:BBBY): "I don't like the near term number. I'm not going to recommend it because it can go down to $64-$65 before I feel good about it. There are so many retailers doing better. This is a good outfit, but I didn't like that announcement."

Ply Gem (NYSE:PGEM): "That is not my cup of tea. I don't want to own the stock."

Orexigen Therapeutics (NASDAQ:OREX): "It is another one of these companies. It is going to cool off. I'd rather it cool off without you in it."
