As the table below highlights, the S&P 500 usually rallies on both the day after Thanksgiving and the period from Thanksgiving through year end. In fact, in over 75% of the years since 1952, the S&P 500 has gone up the day after Thanksgiving, and from Thanksgiving through the end of the year, gains have occurred 63% of the time.
