BP (NYSE:BP) was atop the list of top 5 foreign dividend stocks in this article, but has to be removed from the list, since the company eliminated its dividend. The #1 spot now goes to Royal Dutch Shell (NYSE:RDS.A), and the new addition to the list is France's Vodafone (NASDAQ:VOD), which becomes #5 on the list.

Vodafone paid out $1.24/ADR share in 2 semi-annual payments in 2009. The company raised its summer semi-annual 2010 payout to $.812. The ex-dividend date was June 2nd. Vodafone's next ex-date should be around Nov. 18th. In 2009, this Nov. payment was $.448/ADR share, so, if it stays steady, VOD will pay out $1.26/ADR in 2010. VOD's current dividend yield is 6.1% on ADR shares.

Disclosure: Author is short puts of BP. No shares held of VOD.
