Some readers may have noticed that we have taken an interest to following Joseph Stilwell and his investments in small community banks. His activism has worked in some cases, while not in others, but his activism does provide a potential catalyst in the largely underfollowed community banking sector. One of his current activist activities is a long-standing multi-year proxy battle with Harvard Illinois Bancorp (OTCPK:HARI) to nominate a member to the board to provide some outside insight.
