We went back to 1990 to see how often this has occurred and found that it is very rare. In fact, it has happened only one other time since 1990, and it happened earlier on June 28th of this year. On day six following the June five-day streak, the sector went up another 2.66%, and it wasn't even the best performing sector that day. Materials topped the list with a 3.86% gain while the S&P 500 was up 2.16% -- the market's best day of the year! Let's hope for a repeat on Monday.
