U.S. Gold (USGL.OB), the junior mining concern headed by ex-Goldcorp (GG) CEO Rob McEwen, announced after the bell today that it would begin trading on the American Stock Exchange starting Monday, December 11, 2006. It will trade under the symbol UXG.
As I have stated here on many occasions, U.S. Gold is one of my favorite gold miners. Barring a further dip in gold prices, I expect that investors will react favorably to the announcement and bid USGL.OB shares up tomorrow. Either way, I'm staying long.

Disclosure: I am long USGL.OB. I have no position in GG.
