Cramer's Stop Trading! Sowing the Seeds of an Agriculture Bull Market (8/12/10)

 |  Includes: AAPL, AGU, DE, MON, MOS, POT, VMW
by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on Jim Cramer's Stop Trading! TV Segment, Thursday August 12.

Deere (NYSE:DE), Monsanto (NYSE:MON), Mosaic (NYSE:MOS), Potash (NYSE:POT), Agrium (NYSE:AGU), Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), VMware (NYSE:VMW)

News of crop shortages is good for the agriculture sector which Cramer says is headed for a bull market. He would buy Deere (DE), Monsanto (MON), Mosaic (MOS), Potash (POT) and Agrium (AGU).

With so much uncertainty about tech, Cramer would look to Apple (AAPL) as the leader. If Apple moves up, other stocks in the sector, like VMware (VMW) should also perform well.

The combination of gold shortages and increasing demand makes the yellow metal a strong buy; “This is the era of gold running short,” he said. “That’s why the stocks are so good.”
