Cramer's Lightning Round - The Cheapest Oil Play (8/23/10)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the lightning round session of Jim Cramer's Mad Money TV Program, Monday August 23.

Bullish Calls

Weatherford International (NYSE:WFT): "No! This a terrific stock!... I think Weatherford is the cheapest oil and oil service play there is. We had management on. They had a great quarter. Many more great quarters coming! Not only am I a holder, I'm a buyer of WFT. Stick with it."

Express Scripts (NASDAQ:ESRX), MedcoHealth Solutions (NYSE:MHS): "I want you to continue to own that stock... buy, buy, buy! That group... whether it be MedcoHealth Solutions, whether it be Express Scripts... down on its luck right now. The luck will come back, because the company is a fabulously-run company. I like Express here. I want to pull it with a machine gun... that's how many triggers I want to hit."

Las Vegas Sands (NYSE:LVS), Wynn Resorts (NASDAQ:WYNN): "Oh my... I've got to tell you, you know I like Wynn Resorts ... but I worked all weekend when the Macau figures came out. They're on fire. May I take my hat off to Las Vegas Sands for maybe perhaps the greatest turnaround of this particular area. Well done LVS! Yes, I still like Steve Wynn but, you know what? The market has spoken. LVS is a winner."

Chevron (NYSE:CVX): " I think that you can get a Chevron for 4%. I am for Chevron... buy, buy, buy!"

Vodafone Group (NASDAQ:VOD): "I like it as much as when I recommended it at $19. I've got so many naysayers and short sellers telling me I didn't know what I'm talking about... and I've got to tell you something... I think Vodafone is terrific. That yield is safe. The dollar... everyone was fretting about that. All the worries were wrong. The business is good. Buy, buy, buy.... I'm still a buyer."

Bearish Calls:

Rex Energy (NASDAQ:REXX): "Well, I've got to tell you... I'm looking at these energy stocks and I'm saying, well, hold it... There was a time... there was a time when I liked Rex... a little $395 million company. Here's the problem... It is primarily a small-cap oil and gas play that does not have a dividend."

RealD Inc (NYSE:RLD): "Alright, alright... now here's an example of what I find to be dicey... This is 3D technology in a market where, if the movies are bad, it's sell, sell, sell... I don't need that. I've got too many high-quality stocks that are down. I say avoid that one."
