(Another) Tip on Holiday Shopping Using RSS Feeds

Boddit Awhile back we gave some tips on using RSS (Really Simple Syndication) Feeds to find the best deals on holiday gifts. Thanks to one reader who wrote in, we can link out to a great new site that aggregates nearly all the RSS feeds for the shopping websites together. It’s called Boddit.com, as in ‘Have you Boddit yet?’ Here’s why it’s worth checking out:

1. One stop shop - Boddit funnels deals from a variety of bargain hunting shopping sites, including FatWallet, Slickdeals, Techbargains, Dealnews, Ben’s Bargains, DealCatcher, DealTaker, and many others, and puts them all into one frequently updated RSS interface for you.

2. Narrow your search – The site lets you narrow your search by category, keyword, or most popular product; and it allows you to choose a maximum price range. The deals move fast here, with updates coming about every three minutes or so.

3. No Preferences Promise – According to the site’s disclaimer, they do not make money from any of the aggregated sites, and there are no preferred placements, so you can be sure the site truly finds the best deals out there.

Comments

  • I like www.dealighted.com better than boddit. They both do very similar things, mashup of deals, but dealighted is much better at helping you weed through the junk deals. All of the deals on their homepage are actually very hot, which makes it pretty addictive but saves a lot of time.
