Rice Energy: Monster Bigfoot Well Is The Utica's Biggest Yet - Shares Have 50% Upside

Rice Energy (NYSE:RICE) is a small-cap independent natural gas company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of natural gas properties in the Appalachian Basin. RICE was an early identifier of the core plays in both the Marcellus Shale in SW Pennsylvania and the Utica Shale in SE Ohio. A recent well in the Utica was considered the best ever in the play. RICE is expected to double production this year, has excellent access to interstate pipeline exit capacity and is realizing good prices. On the back of expected production growth and bookings of proved reserves in the Utica, RICE could easily rise 50% over the next 12-months.
