Why AMC Networks' Latest Moves Are Underwhelming

AMC Networks (NASDAQ:AMCX) has been struggling to gain traction over the last twelve months, as investors are wary of the lack of a visible content pipeline that ensures continuity of revenue and earnings over the next couple of years.

That has been heightened by the fact two of the three new shows it launched this year have been unimpressive, with the third, "Breaking Bad" spin-off "Better Call Saul," pushed back to a early 2015 start. It was originally scheduled to launch close to the time its flagship show "The Walking Dead" was to start its fifth season in the latter part of 2014.
