Cramer's Lightning Round - Core Laboratories Quarter Was A Shocker (7/11/14)

by: Miriam Metzinger

Stocks discussed on the Lightning Round segment of Jim Cramer's Mad Money Program, Friday July 11.

Bullish Calls:

  • Core Laboratories (NYSE:CLB): "It was a disappointing quarter. However, it has come down enough that you can own it. Understand, they must do better on the next quarter. That was a shocker. I think they will."
  • Southern Company (NYSE:SO): "If you want a utility stock (right now, I think we are going to get an acceleration in the economy ... so if you were making a trim, it would be in utilities) you've got a good one. Good yield. I like it very much."
  • Starbucks (NASDAQ:SBUX): "I'd like to recommend it in the $60s or low $70s, but I think you put half a position on, and if the market brings it down, you buy the rest."
  • GenCorp (GY): "It's aerospace. I think it is terrific. I am always surprised it is independent. I think it can be taken up by the Farnborough Air Show this week."
  • Cheniere Energy Partners (NYSEMKT:CQP): "I'm not as big a fan of Cheniere Energy as I am of Cheniere Energy Partners. CQP has a good yield."

Bearish Calls:

  • Cheniere Energy (NYSEMKT:LNG): Cramer prefers Cheniere Energy Partners.
