News Corp. And Its War To Rise Above Its Competitors

When a company is in the type of business News Corp. (NASDAQ:NWS) is in, competition comes just about from everywhere; including print and digital. To combat that, the company has taken some quick steps to grow and differentiate, as it has a big war chest to work from, with no debt on the books. Even after a couple of recent acquisitions, it still has about $2.5 billion available for strategic moves.

Among its first acquisitions were Storify and Harlequin, both of which fill an interesting niche.
