What Gives American Public Education Hope, But Why It Will Remain Volatile For Some Time

The for-profit segment of the educational market continue to be volatile, and American Public Education (NASDAQ:APEI) has experienced those same conditions; although it has stabilized since its plunge at the end of February 2014.

Since that time it has been in a range of about $33.00 per share to $35.00 per share, with an occasional and short-lived move into the $36.00 per share to $37.00 per share mark.

There is nothing in the way of catalysts in the short-term that suggest this is going to change any time soon, although stemming the drop in military students while growing out its nursing student numbers could give the stock a nice upward push. Of course knowing it has to be...
