The company operates in over 90 countries and it has 14 production facilities throughout the world. Schweitzer-Mauduit's competitors include Delfort, Glatz, BMJ, and Miquel y Costas. Miquel y Costas is a closely held public company and the other competitors are privately held. Schweitzer-Mauduit is comprised of three segments: Paper, Reconstituted Tobacco, and Filtration.
